Bizkaia Saria suspended

The weather forecast does not estimate any good. There is a warning alert of snow for Thursday. The forecast says that it will snow every day from Wednesday to Saturday, while on Friday and Saturday is when more snow is expected to fall.

The roads to the competitions area were closed yesterday, so with more snow it will get even worse.

For all these reasons, we decided to suspend the competitions. We will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, to decide when and where we will celebrate our yearly “Liga Norte” competition.

We apologize for any inconvenience we have caused.

Orientibirring canceled

Due to the sad events of last week, we do not in the mood of celebrating a fun activity as orientibirring. So is being canceled.

However, coinciding with the weekend Asturian Team is to organize a Sprint training, who so graciously extended to all attendees of the Bizkaia Saria. Its objective is to practice the stress in the very begining of a sprint. It is planned to meet at the hard floor at 16:45 on Saturday. Interested contact by email to club@labrujula.info.

License is mandatory for runners in official categories without own national orienteering license and insurance, it is optional for Open and Beginners (Iniciación). The organisation will not be responsible for possible accidents.

* Registration after deadline, time, SI card changes etc.: Extra charge 2€.

* Registration will be valid only after payment has been registered. Please send your bank receipt to inscripciones@cobidea.com. An extra charge of 2 € will be applied for all entries and payments that we receive after the deadline (9th march).

* COBi members not registered within deadline will be treated as a normal runners, including extra charge.

* It is possible to register at the competition but the club does not guarantee availability of maps.

* Please register at Orienteering Online.

* If you rent your SI card you must leave an ID card or a deposit of 30€ at the competition's information desk.

A competition for everybody!

Both on Saturday and Sunday we have 2 courses open for everybody (Open and Beginners).

The Saturday´s beginners course won´t be a relay but a regular course.

The prestigious magazine Orienteering Today published in its first number of 2008 an extense article on the Bizkaia Saria 2007 O-meeting, celebrated in October 2007 in the Biscayan localities of Zeanuri and Areatza. The magazine emphasised the great number of activities organised by COBI in this event (sprint, microsprint, classic and middle distance, concerts, karaoke...)

Activities that, without a doubt, will be repeated in the next Bizkaia Saria O-meeting.
